Also, forgot one item -- what are your thoughts about matching diamond studs with engagement rings (e.g., princess studs with princess engagement ring) or does it really matter if someone purchases round studs with a princess ring? Similar question regarding carat weight -- if I purchased a 1.2 carat ring, should I purchase something close to 1.2 carat total weight earrings? Thanks again!!

Really enjoy your thoughts -- I am looking for a quality pair of diamond stud earrings. You mention above that you believe that Blue Nile, where I purchased my wife's engagement ring, was the clear winner for studs based on your recent article comparing 4 different on-line sites. When you read that article, however, and the side-by-side comparison at the end of the article, it appears as though James Allen is the winner. I am confused. Also, I think caret weight needs to be a factor regarding studs -- I really don't know what size to buy my wife, but am considering anywhere between 1 and 1.25 carets. Last, it appears as though you can get a better "value" from either James Allen or Blue Nile if you do NOT purchase a pre-set stud pair and, rather, build your own studs. I believe that should be a focus as well in an upcoming article. Appreciate your thoughts though!
