Q: I am looking for a Princess cut for a platinum setting under $2000 (not including setting). The most important feature is the fire and clarity. I can’t handle any tint of yellow either, pet peeve.
Thanks for any advice you can give me.

Beautiful Princess Cut: 0.70 Carats, H Color, VVS2 Clarity, GIA Certified Diamond
Posted by: Mike | Comments (0)The last couple of weeks, we’ve focused on some larger round diamonds. This week, I found a great princess cut for under $2,000. Here is a beautiful 0.70ct princess cut. This is a well cut diamond, that will be bright and 100% eye-clean. You can combine this with a beautiful setting and still come in under $2,500.

Q: Thanks for the great website. There is a lot of useful information here. I guess I’ll get to the point:
I’m looking to purchase an egagement ring within 2 to 4 weeks. My budget is $3,000 to $4,000 total, and I’m thinking about this setting in yellow gold (or the six-prong version):

Given what that costs, I have 2500-3400 or so for the stone. I’m totally not confident in choosing a diamond, so I’m coming to you for help. After some searches, I found this stone, but I’d really appreciate some suggestions:

Q: I was literally just about to head to the jewelers down the street today but decided to do some last-minute research. After finding your site and reading what you have to say, you totally changed my mind!
My budget is $10k including a platinum band, so I think that means about $9k for the rock. Only requirements are round cut, no visible flaws, and (maybe weirdly) I’d like to not go over 1.5 carats.
It would be so greatly appreciated if you could suggest one or two options for me! Read More→
Q: I see where you have given suggestions about finding a diamond… I am looking to purchase a stone in the following ranges: close to 1 carat as possible, color I-G, cut good-very good, clarity S1 at a minimum. I have looked through the James Allen site but I am overwhelmed. I am a school counselor and don’t have much of a bank to break; 3000 dollar range is what I am looking for. Hopefully you can help. Q: I have found your site both interesting and educational.

$2500-$4000 in the comfort range up to upper 5K range if it was very nice diamond and made sense
I am absolutely open to any thoughts and ideas you may have as my diamond and jewelry knowledge is certainly limitied.
I am looking at a side stone setting and a 3 stone and will give a sample setting link from jamesallen. I am trying to weigh the importance of colr, clarity and cut in the emerad shape. I will list a few diamonds that caught my uneducated eye and would welcome your honest thoughts on any of them as well as any alternatives you may have. Thanks in advance.
