Diamond Studded Headbands

First, there’s Charlize Theron who made a knockout entrance with her Cartier diamond headband and soft hair-do to match. And also appearing in a daring black garland headband with diamond accents was Michelle Williams. Her headband and diamond studs were courtesy of Forevermark Diamonds and designed by Fred Leighton. We think the headband beautifully complemented her short hair-do.

The next group of leading ladies made bold fashion statements with dashing diamond drop earrings. First, there’s Kate Beckinsale with massive diamond drop jewels and bangles by famous New York diamond jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz. Her strapless neutral-colored gown and bare neck took back seat to this bold bling.

Massive Earrings Jessica Alba, in similar fashion with strapless gown and bare neck, sported gorgeous 37.14 carat diamond and platinum earrings by Bulgari. These icy rocks went perfectly with her stunning light lavender embroidered gown. And let us not forget to remark on her super sparkly diamond bracelet.

Huge Bracelets Sofia Vergara was all diamond-studded out. She made a striking appearance on the red carpet in a strapless navy gown that really accentuated her curvy hour-glass figure. Add to that her knock-out diamond drop earrings, bracelets, and rings by famed Hollywood diamantaire Harry Winston, and she looked like a Hollywood goddess.

Both Reese Witherspoon and Mary J. Blige shined in their diamond wristlets, complementing their striking gowns fabulously. Witherspoon wore circa 1900 vintage bracelets by designer Fred Leighton, and Blige wore Lorraine Schwartz jewels on her arms, and did we mention the long diamond chandelier earrings?

And finally, we’d also like to make mention of Natalie Portman’s refined rocks. Her diamond drop earrings, pear shaped diamond ring, and three diamond bracelets by Harry Winston offset her fabulous fuchsia gown with lots of class.

They’re both eye clean. They both have a cut grade of Excellent so they’ll be very bright and lively. And J color is a great balance of value and looks for studs.

Q: The ones you picked look very nice. Couple of questions: I see a lot of spots on these diamonds and I see that the polish & symmetry are “very good”. Will these distract from the look? Would it make sense to upgrade these characteristics for ~$1K more to one like on the link below? From what I read on you site, no reason to upgrade the color beyond J, right?

The small spots you see are inclusions, but they won’t be visible at all to the naked eye.

If you want, I can find you a nice pair on JA that’s VS2, but I really think it’s a big waste of money – especially for studs. Generally, the rule in the diamond business is that clarity requirements are usually more relaxed than normal for studs because they’re usually viewed at a greater distance than engagement rings. SO it’s really a waste to go all the way to VS2.
