Marriage Proposal
Posted by: | CommentsToday’s featured marriage proposal was created by your Proposal Planners at The Heart Bandits. Keith contacted us because he wanted to propose using umbrellas that spell out Will You Marry Me. But he knew he needed some help from professionals to pull off such an elaborate proposal idea. We began by finding the perfect proposal location, Multnomah Falls, which we chose because of the stunning waterfall backdrop and the footbridge that went across the falls. The footbridge was perfect for the 15+ volunteers we coordinated with to help pull off this amazing day. Keith also wanted a musician there to serenade the couple with “their song” so we hired the a guitarist to play as soon as he saw Keith and Alyssa. That was the cue for everyone to drop the “Will You Marry Me” umbrellas and as you can see by the video below by Lance Watts, everything went perfectly.Marriage Proposal

New York Proposal
Posted by: | CommentsLast fall we received an email from Adam, who was from England but was going to be visiting New York City with his then girlfriend Vicky. He didn’t want to lose the opportunity of being in a great city such as New York and he know how to propose but just needed help. Proposing while on travel is both good and bad however. The good is that it is extremely easy to create a surprise proposal idea. Your partner will not be expecting anything at all because it’s not your home town and it’s easier to visit new places. The bad is that it is much harder to pull something off. That is where Proposal Planners from The Heart Bandits helped make his proposal easy though.

Philadelphia Proposal
Posted by: | CommentsWhen Dave came to The Heart Bandits seeking the perfect proposal idea, he wanted to know how to propose in a way that would be sentimental and special without a huge production. He lives in Philadelphia so doing something outdoors in the winter wouldn’t have worked well so he needed something indoors.
The idea that we helped Dave with incorporated all that he wanted and made it especially sentimental for his girlfriend Jessica. On a Saturday night, he told Jessica that he wanted to take her out on a date. It was a surprise date and it was a night of tango lessons and dancing. It was perfect for her because she loves dancing. As they showed up at the dance studio, there was a photographer there taking pictures under the ruse that it was for the dance studio’s website. The photographer (Jensen Photography) was actually there to capture the entire proposal of Dave and Jessica. They took some wonderful pictures of them two and Dave looked so excited because he knew what was in store.
Beach Proposal
Posted by: | CommentsProposing on the beach is a great proposal idea. Add the white sandy beaches of Mexico and a childhood fairytale and you have perfection. When Michael called us and told us his proposal inspiration, our hearts melted. His girlfriend Liz was told a childhood fairytale growing up. Her grandma told her that one day a blonde-haired blue-eyed cowboy would come sweep her away into the sunset. Mike wanted to recreate that story for her when he proposed. Luckily he fit the bill and actually was blonde-haired blue-eyed so that part was easy. The hard part was that no beaches in Mexico allowed horses to ride there. But no challenge is too big for the Proposal Planners at The Heart Bandits.
We found a private beach in Mexico that would allow horses and it turned out perfect. When Liz was in the shower, Mike left a note for her and headed to the beach. Liz found the note and went outside to catch her ride to the beach. She had no idea what was going on. When she got to the beach she was put on an ATV and brought to the shore where she was told to look to the north. Before she knew it, Mike came galloping down the beach on a horse and whisked her away into the sunset. Los Angeles Proposal Idea
Posted by: | CommentsWhen you think of Los Angeles, you think about sunshine, beaches, celebrities, etc. But you don’t think about ice. But when you are trying to figure out how to propose in LA, you should. There is a very quaint ice skating rink right in the middle of Santa Monica that is the perfect place to propose in the winter.
In 2011, we had a client named Leigh who came to us for Proposal Planning. He had taken his girlfriend Stefanie ice skating on one of their first dates. She was way better than him and at one point he even fell down while skating. She purposely fell down next to him and Leigh jokes that that is when she “fell for him”. Stefanie’s nickname was also petal so we came up with a beautiful proposal concept.
Make Your Proposal Personal
Posted by: | CommentsWhen people come to The Heart Bandits and ask us how to propose, the number one piece of advice we give is to make the proposal personal. No matter what your marriage proposal idea is, it needs to be made up of personal memories, private moments, and be representative of your relationship. Check out this proposal we created for a Singapore couple visiting Beverly Hills.
Years ago, Lim and his girlfriend were separated by distance so he gave her a wooden airplane and said that if she ever wanted to see him he would always fly to see her. We built the proposal concept on that. When the couple went for an unassuming walk in a park, they came upon a tree that had similar wooden planes hanging from the branches. Lim stopped under the tree to talk about the time he gave her the plane years ago. They continued to walk and next they saw a tree with pictures from their relationship and love letters from Lim. The last tree had a violinist waiting for their arrival and she began playing the couples song. The branches were adorned with huge engagement rings and Lim took his girlfriend under the branches and proposed. They celebrated with “She Said Yes” cupcakes. The Artistic Beach Proposal
Posted by: | CommentsSameer had known Nisha since Junior High and after they got together he felt like he could talk to her about anything so he knew at that moment that she was the one for him. He loved her because she was intelligent, beautiful, and huggable. He knew that it was now time to propose marriage but he wanted to ensure that it would be special. He also knew that Nisha would want a public proposal while also being a complete surprise for her. His marriage proposal idea had to be perfect so he decided to come to The Heart Bandits for some help.

The proposal idea that we helped him come up with was public, had a huge element of surprise, and it also included a keepsake that they could keep well after the proposal to be reminded of that wonderful day. Since Nisha loved to cuddle, was outdoorsy, and enjoyed having romantic days on the beach, Sameer took her down to Belmont Shore Beach one Saturday afternoon. Andrea Patricia Photography was there to capture the entire event. We had never met Sameer before so in order to find him and help him pull off the proposal, he told us he was going to be wearing a white shirt that day and putting up a red umbrella at the beach. He set himself up with Nisha at a nice spot and they were quietly enjoying the beautiful day in Southern California. Out of seemingly nowhere a man walks up and Read More→
