A New Series for the Shopping Season!
By Ira WeissmanNow that we wrapped up our daily diamond selection series featuring the best cushion cut diamonds for specific budgets, today we begin a new series. I’m very excited about this one.
If you’ve ready any of my articles on the site, then you probably already know that I don’t believe there is any inherent value to diamonds as an investment. A diamond is a retail purchase like any other. You pay money, and you get a product in return.
Any product you buy has features, and generally, prices go up in accordance with the value of the features.
Diamonds aren’t any different except for one small catch: With other products, you only pay more for features that you will be able to appreciate. With diamonds, however, you’ll pay more for a flawless diamond than you would a VS2 clarity diamond – even though you’d never be able to tell the difference.
Since I know this to be true, I always tell people who ask me my opinion that they’re better off having me help them find the lowest clarity grade possible that is still clean to the naked eye. Since this is only possible if I can see the stone, I almost always need to use James Allen’s virtual loupe to accomplish this.
So, without further ado, I present you our newest series – the best I1 clarity diamond for different budgets. With this series, we bring you the ultimate in value.
