Couple Finds Wedding Ring 33 Years After Losing it

Anthea Capewell, 60, was doing some gardening 33 years ago in her previous home when she lost her wedding and engagement ring.  When it happened, her and her husband searched frantically for the rings.  At one point the search became so intense that they even rented a metal detector.  They managed to salvage the engagement ring, but the wedding ring eluded them.

Thirty-three years went by, and in that time the Capewells moved on to a new home, and eventually forgot about the ring.  That was, until last week, when their former neighbor called them with some unbelievable news.  While she was trimming her hedges, she found a small brown piece of metal.  It piqued her interest, so she decided to clean it off, and lo and behold, it was the lost ring!

Mr Capewell said: “I heard Anthea get all excited on the phone. I thought she had won the lottery.”
